Webster discusses his early days in Glasgow, his decision to emigrate to Canada, his work as a reporter for the Vancouver Sun, and his career in radio and television. Webster is recorded as he talks to listeners on his popular West Coast open-line radio show. Hawkins tells of his youth in Arkansas, his early struggles for success and recognition, and his decision to come to Canada in 1957 on the advice of a friend. The friend told him that opportunities were better for his kind of music in Canada than in the United States. Hawkins says he loves Canada and considers it home. <30mn>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
