Fonds consists of outgoing correspondence to Miss Margaret Dunn, concerning their meeting to discuss Dr. Sharpe's professional association with, and the history and organization of, The Queen Alexandra Sanatorium, later renamed The Beck Memorial Sanatorium, near London, Ontario, dated 1981. One letter contains his account of the facilities and activities of the sanatorium and his personal experience with the disease tuberculosis. Two copies of this account are also included.

Sharpe, William C., ca. 1894-1982 : William C. Sharpe born at Toronto ca. 1894, served overseas with the 43rd Battery in World War I. In 1919, he entered medical school at the University of Toronto, graduating in 1924. Sharpe became staff physician of the Queen Alexandra Sanatorium, London, Ontario, later renamed The Beck Memorial Sanatorium, in 1927. He served as Senior Physician and Superintendent until his retirement in 1960. Sharpe set up chest clinics in the follow-up and prevention of tuberculosis in the counties surrounding London, and he lectured to medical students and public health nurses at the University of Western Ontario. He was a past President of the Ontario Tuberculosis Association. Sharpe died on 17 January 1982 in Toronto.
