Fonds consists of letters from Wright to his wife regarding the dispersal of funds; two letters from Sir John A. Macdonald urging Wright to run in the elections of 1887 and 1891; and a letter of condolence from Lord Aberdeen to Mrs. Wright following her husband's death.

Wright, Alonzo, fl. 1825-1894 : Alonzo Wright, politician, born in 1825 at Hull, Lower Canada, was educated at Postdam Academy, New York. Later he was a farmer at Hull. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada for Ottawa County in 1863. After Confederation, he held the same seat federally until 1891 when he did not contest the election. Wright died at his residence, "The Gatineau", near Hull, Que., in 1894.
