Fonds consists of microfilmed records: registers of baptisms, marriages, and burials of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Ottawa, 1858-1935; a number of related papers, such as dispensations for mixed marriages, appear inside the front and back covers of the first four of the five volumes. This material is located on microfilm reels M-3191 to M-3193.

St. Joseph's Church (Ottawa, Ont. : Roman Catholic) : The Roman Catholic parish of St. Joseph's, Ottawa, was erected in 1856. It has always been run by the English speaking Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The present church building is the third on the site, in succession to two structures which were both burnt.
