Thring, Henry, Baron, 1818-1907 : Henry Thring was a parliamentary draftsman devoted to improvement of the statute law and was an original member of the statute law committee first appointed in 1868. He was largely responsible for both the valuable publication of state trials from 1820 to 1858 and the compilation of the first edition of the War Office Manual of Military Law.
