Wilson, Donald A.K., 1921-1942 : Sub-Lieutenant Donald A.K. Wilson was born in Victoria, B.C. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a naval cadet in September 1939, and was immediately assigned to Britain for training. After returning to Canada in early 1942, he was commissioned to serve on the H.M.C.S. Ottawa in August 1942. He was reported missing, and presumed dead, on 13 September 1942, after the Ottawa was torpedoed in the Atlantic.
