Fonds consists of promotional material consisting of a catalogue for Tom Forrestall Retrospective Exhibition and postcard reproductions of his work, original, 1978, 1 cm; notes entitled "Shapes, a new era for art" and "The Shaped carrier for painting", related drawings, and clippings of two articles on Forrestall, photocopy, 1976-1978, 15 pages.

The fonds also contains two different posters entitled "Tom Forrestall at Instituto Culturale Canadese in Roma", 1983.

Forrestall, Thomas De Vany, 1936- : Thomas De Vany Forrestall, born in 1936 at Middleton, N.S., studied art at Mount Allison University under Alex Colville and Lawren P. Harris, 1954-1958. After travelling and studying in Europe, 1958-1959, he became assistant curator at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Since 1960 he has devoted his time to painting and sculpting. His work has been exhibited throughout Canada, as well as in Europe and Boston and New York. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and lives in Dartmouth, N.S.
