The fonds consists predominantly of correspondence to and from the Reverend William Moore, Secretary, Lecturer and Organizer of the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis, 1903-1905. A small part of the fonds includes: undated outgoing and incoming correspondence; incoming correspondence to unidentified recipients, 1903; outgoing correspondence by an unknown author, possibly first secretary of C.A.P.T. - the Rev. C.S. Eby, 1901; and incoming correspondence to Miss Ethel M. Fraser, 1903, Dr. H. Beaumont Small, 1903-1904, and John Mortimer Courtney, undated, all of whom were associated with the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis.

The fonds also contains photographs depicting Bank Street Presbyterian Church, Ottawa, Ont., and a portrait of Rev. William Moore.

Moore, William, 1838-1915 : The Reverend William Moore was born in 1838 in County Antrim, Ireland and moved at an early age with his family to the United States and then Canada. His early education took place in Ingersoll, Canada West. He received his education in arts at University College, Toronto and his theological training at Knox College, Toronto, from which he graduated in 1865, and Princeton Seminary, (New Jersey). Moore received an honorary D.D. from Hanover College, (Indiana) in 1879.

He was first pastor of the Bank Street Presbyterian Church (presently Dominion-Chalmers United Church), Ottawa. Resigning in 1902, he served as Secretary, Organizer and Lecturer for the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis from 1903 to 1910. He was President of the Ottawa Protestant Ministerial Association in 1897 and was also elected Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Canada that year. He also served as Vice-President of the Ottawa Ladies' College and Ottawa Bible Society.
