Andrusyshen, C. H., 1907-1983 : Constantine H. Andrusyshen, scholar, was born in Winnipeg. In 1945 he became the founding Chairman of the Department of Slavic studies at the University of Saskatchewan. His Ukrainian-English Dictionary appeared in 1955. He was the co-translator and compiler with Watson Kirkconnell of Ukrainian Poets (1963) and Complete Poetical Works of Taras Shevchenko (1964). In 1972 he edited and translated Wasyl Stefanyk's The Stone Cross. He also produced a draft translation of Mykhail Hrushevky's "History of Ukrainian Rus' - Volume III," but it was never published. Constantine H. Andrusyshen died in 1983 in Saskatoon.
