This material is located on microfilm reels M-1905 and M-1906.Provenance:Additional name(s):Biography/Administrative history:Morton, John S., fl. 1839-1912 : John S. Morton (1839-1912), missionary, was ordained in 1861, in the Presbyterian Church of the Lower Provinces of British North America, which later became a part of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. In 1867, the American United Presbyterian Church transferred its Trinidad mission to the Presbyterian Church of the Lower Provinces, and in 1868 Morton, with wife Sarah, also a missionary, left to re-establish the mission among indentured labourers, primarily East Indians and Chinese.
