Stanton, John, 1914-2002 : Born in Port Hope, Ont., in 1914, Mr. Stanton, moved to British Columbia in 1936. In 1941, he was the legal counsellor for several persons interned under the provisions of the War Measures Act. For 30 years, he was the legal representative for all the major trade unions in British Columbia. Mr. Stanton passed away on February 1, 2002 in Victoria.
