Fonds consists of "B" Company Personnel Books for the 13th Battalion of the Royal Highlanders of Canada, listing all NCO's and men invalided and transferred, 1 January 1917 - 1 March 1919, and those killed or fatally wounded, 1 January 1917 - 11 November 1918, as kept by the Company Clerk, Cpl. Edward C. Guyton.

Canada. Canadian Army. Royal Highlanders of Canada : The Black Watch of Canada, Royal Highland Regiment, was originally organized at Montreal on 31 January 1862 from six volunteer militia rifle companies.

During the World War I, the Regiment raised the 13th, 42nd and 73rd Battalions, CEF, which served respectively with the 1st, 3rd and 4th Canadian Divisions in France and Flanders. Three members of the 13th won the Victoria Cross in 1918.
