Sir William Mulock, Postmaster-General for Canada, dated 22 May 1897, in reply to Mr. Paint's letter regarding mail matters.Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:Paint, Henry Nicholas, b. 1830 : Henry Nicholas Paint, member of Parliament and businessman, born in 1830 at Belle Vue, Strait of Canso, Cape Breton, N.S., was connected with two marine railways for repairing ships at the Strait of Canso and North Sydney, engaged in a commission and insurance agency, involved in large ship-building enterprises, and had interest in Cape Breton Coal Mines. He was first elected to the House of Commons in 1882, and supported the position of Sir John A. Macdonald.
