Magee, Allan Angus, 1881-ca. 1960 : Allan Angus Magee, military officer and lawyer, was born in London, Ontario, the son of Justice Magee of the Ontario Court of Appeal. He was educated at University of Toronto, Osgoode and McGill and was called to the bar in Ontario, 1905. He worked on the law staff of the C.P.R. until 1910, when he formed the law partnership of Cook and Magee. He began his military career as a Lieutenant in the 26th Middlesex Battalion in 1901 and in 1914, he was made senior Major of the McGill Provisional Battalion. In 1915, he was made a Lieutenant Colonel and authorized to form the 148th Battalion. After the war, he was attached to the staff of Sir Arthur Currie.
