Fonds consist of official memoranda documentating Griffiths' promotions, demobilization and pension receipts, pay books, reminiscences and records of the Griffiths family of Saskatoon, Sask.; reminiscences of Griffiths' service in World War I.

Photographic material depicts train with soldiers leaving Saskatoon for Sewel Camp, Brandon, Manitoba; portraits of Griffiths and other indivduals and groups of the 53rd Battalion, at Sewel Camp; group shots of them 2nd Reserve Battalion Soccer Team, Folkstone, Kent, England and of the 32nd Reserve Battalion Cricket Team, Lyminge, Kent, England; group shots of "Wounded Boys in Blue Poole, Dorset, England".

Griffiths, Aubrey Wyndham, 1889-1983 : Aubrey Wyndham Griffiths, soldier, born in 1889 at Port Talbot, Wales, immigrated to Canada with his parents to become farmers in Blucher, Sask. He enlisted in 1915 and went to England as part of the 32nd Reserve Battalion and in Europe was assigned to reinforce the 5th Canadian Infantry Battalion, taking part in the Battles of Ypres and Vimy Ridge. He was wounded in 1917 and was demobilized to Canada in 1919. He moved to Detroit in 1923 and spent his entire working life there.
