Partridge, Glendon F : Rev. Glendon F. Partridge of Toronto served as National Chairman of the Canadian Committee to Secure Clemency in the Rosenberg Case in the early 1950s. Rev. Partridge coordinated a significant Canadian lobby to the highest political and legal bodies in Canada and the United States, the major components of which were the Montreal Committee to Save the Rosenbergs and The League for Democratic Rights, Toronto. He spoke on radio and wrote appeals in the press, corresponded with influential persons, and also collected literature containing international pleas for clemency in the Julian and Ethel Rosenberg case, and generally promoted civil liberties.
