Fonds consists of World War I reminiscences of Hubert M. Morris who served with the 10th Field Ambulance attached to the 7th Brigade, 3rd Division, Canadian Expeditionary Force. Photocopy, 56 pages.

Morris, Hubert M., 1896- : Hubert M. Morris, soldier, was born in 1896 in Lambton County, Ont., attended Normal School at Moosomin, Sask., and spent six months teaching school at Queen Centre, Sask. In September 1915, H.M. Morris enlisted in the army and became a stretcher bearer in "C" Section of the 10th Field Ambulance C.E.F. His company moved throughout England, Belgium and France during the war. In 1918 he joined officer training in the Canadian Machine Gun Corps Reserve Company in Aubin, St. Vaast. He was promoted to seargeant, and had headquarters in London.

He returned to Canada in 1919 after his company was disbanded. He later studied civil engineering at the University of Toronto. He spent most of his working years with the Bell Telephone Company of Canada as an engineer.
