Fonds consists of WREN Katherine Wayling's notes, from lectures given to WREN's in Ottawa, from 31 August 1942 to 26 September 1942. The lectures touch on issues of concern to women in the military. They provide basic information on military procedures, structures, allied war aims, and the purposes and character of the enemy. he lecture topics include discussion of the special role of women in the military, female military department, and advice on sexual and hygienic matters.

Peacock, Katherine A., 1914- : Katherine Peacock (née Wayling), naval officer, born in 1914 at Winnipeg, Man. received her education from Queen's University, B.A. 1935. She served in the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service during World War II. After the war, she worked as a federal public servant.
