Scott, William Duncan, b. 1861 : William Duncan Scott, public servant, was born in 1861 at Dundas, Ont. He worked as an immigration agent with the Manitoba government from 1887-1898, and entered the Dominion Public Service in 1899, to represent Canada as Commissioner at Paris, France. From 1903 to 1911, he worked as Superintendent of the Immigration Branch, Department of Interior.
