Choquet, Marie Nicole Ida, 1934-1985 : Born in Montreal, Marie Choquet worked as a business consultant in Ottawa and eventually became vice-president of B-A-C. International, where she developed contacts with Arab representatives in Canada, and travelled extensively to Arab countries. She grew enamoured with Arab society, and began to champion the Arab cause in Canada, as was the case when she was instrumental in leading the campaign to stop Canada's embassy shift from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
