Fonds consists of photographs depicting: Allan Bronfman, his public activities, family snapshots; Montreal, Québec; Israel; publicity shots; Jewish community; participation of Allan Bronfman in various financial campaigns in aid of, among others, the Jewish University of Jerusalem, and the Emergency Funds of Israel; photographs taken during evening receptions and conferences; various members of the Bronfman family such as Charles, Edgar, and Saydie. Letters from David Ben Gurion to Allan Bronfman; photographs correspondence, speeches, clippings, programmes, memorabilia and printed material that Allan Bronfman had given to Mr. Mogelon to provide information for a biography; a file containing lists of book titles and audio-visual productions authored Alex Mogelon. Almost all the collection concerns functions and receptions which Mr. Allan Bronfman attended for the Hebrew University, Israel Bonds, Shaar Hashomayim Lectureship, David Ben Gurion, Golda Meir, Moshe Davan Encyclopaedia Judaica, birthdays and anniversaries.

Biography/Administrative history:

Mogelon, Alex : Alex Mogelon, author, film producer, writer and film-maker, was born in Winnipeg in 1925. He was the former National Director of the Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University and he worked closely with the Jewish National Fund of Canada. Together with his wife Lila, he operated Studio Snowdon. He was also the author of Miller Brittain: In Focus, 100 Things to Do with an Alligator, and many other books on art technique as well as many short stories, screenplays and books on Canadian and Jewish life and Native and Folk art. He died in Dunvegan, Ontario in the year 2000.
