Fonds consists of manuscript and publications of several books written in Lithuanian, by Dr. Gutauskas including Child's God and Religion, thoughts of the Great Fathers of The Church, Religion Pedagogy, Christianity in Lithuania, and others; correspondence notes and records concerning the Lithuanian Publications Committee; survey forms, a collection of 870 forms of a survey of religions attitudes among Lithuanian high school students in Germany immediately after World War II. The fonds also contains photographs depicting Lithuanian costumes, community activities, and events at St. Casimir's Lithuanian Roman Catholic Church, Delhi, Ontario.

Gutauskas, Jonas, 1906- : Rev. Dr. Jonas Gutauskas was born in Lithuania, where he worked as a priest and teacher. He spent some time prior to World War II in the Lithuanian community in Germany and after the war came to Canada to serve the spiritual needs of the Lithuanian Catholics who settled here. He undertook further studies at Laval University and wrote several books in the field of theology and religion. He also served as chairman of a Lithuanian publication committee. He established, and served as parish priest of, St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church in Delhi, Ont., which became the focus of much Lithuanian community activity.
