Inglis, Frederick, 1870-1950 : Rev. Frederick Inglis was born 12 August 1870 on a farm near Lucknowin, Huron County, Ontario, the son of John Inglis and Agnes McLaren. He attended the University of Manitoba where he received his medical degree and in 1904 obtained his degree in Divinty. Inglis wanted to be a missionary to Canadian Indians and in May of 1905 established his medical practice in Telegraph Creek, British Columbia. In 1914 Inglis moved his practice to Gibsons, B.C., where he remained until his retirement in 1945. Inglis died 12 August 1950. Biographical sketch by Dr. Hugh F. Inglis, 1965.
