Schwartz, Jesse, 1892-1962 : Jesse Schwartz, Rabbi and community leader, born in New York City, received a B.Sc. from the College of the City of New York in 1912, and an LL.B. from Columbia University Law School in 1915. He was ordained a Rabbi in 1925 at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Rabbi Schwartz served as Executive Director of the Zionist Organization of Canada from 1932 to 1960. He was editor of the Canadian Zionist from 1960 until his death in 1962.
