Withrow, William Henry, 1839-1908 : William Henry Withrow was born in Toronto and educated at the Toronto Academy, Victoria College, Cobourg, and University of Toronto. Admitted to the ministry of the Methodist Church, 1864, he was appointed editor of the CANADIAN METHODIST MAGAZINE in 1874. He published many books on history and religion, as well as fictional works, including VALERIA, THE MARTYR OF THE CATACOMBS in 1882. He was made a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1883.
