Robinson, J. Lewis (John Lewis), 1918-2008 : Dr. John L. Robinson was a geographer in the North West Territories Administration, Department of Mines and Resources, 1943-1946, following which he became professor of Geography at the University of British Columbia. He is the author of The Geography of Canada (1905) and The Canadian Arctic (1952) as well as numerous articles.
