Holy Ghost Parish (Montreal, Quebec : Ukrainian Catholic) : Although Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Parish was established in 1913 as the second Ukrainian Catholic parish to serve the Pointe St. Charles district in Montreal, Quebec, instances of spiritual life occurred the year prior when Father Theodore Dvulit performed the consecration of water outside Saint-Gabriel Church on Center Street. Classes in Ukrainian were also provided at the local Catholic School at the time.

Education of Ukrainian youth were taken over by the Sisters Servants in 1929, and two years later the first meeting of the neighborhood parishioners was held, in which a committee was elected and fundraising began for the construction of a new church. The land was acquired in 1934, and the eventual construction of the Church was completed in 1947, with its cornerstone consecrated and laid, in which the ceremony was overseen by Father Benjamin Baranyak, Superior of the Basilian Fathers in Canada. In 1953, the Church interior was painted by Leonid Parfetsky, while the choirs, sacristy and vestibule was painted by Volodymyr Moshynsky.

The Church continues to serve the Ukrainian community in the region, and operates a branch of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League of Canada (UCWLC), among other more notable examples.
