Fonds consists of the following microfilmed material: three parish registers of baptisms, marriages and burials for the Anglican Mission of Portage-du-Fort, which include Bryson and Grand-Calumet Island, 1856-1920, one register of baptisms, marriages and burials for the Anglican Mission of the townships of Litchfield (Campbell's Bay) and Mansfield (Fort Coulonge), 1902-1920. All four registers were annually indexed. This material is located on microfilm reel M-2520.

St. George's Church (Campbell's Bay, Quebec : Anglican) : The village of Portage-du-Fort, Que., originated as a pioneer settlement at the first of the rapids which marked the upper navigable limit of the Lac-des-Chats portion of the Ottawa River. From about 1850 it formed part of the Anglican Mission of Clarendon in the Diocese of Montreal, but it became a separate cure in 1856. Its first incumbent, the Rev. John Gribble, also served Havelock (Bryson), Fort-Coulonge, and Grand-Calumet Island in Pontiac County, Que., as well as Horton Township in Renfrew County, Ont. St. George's Church, begun 1 May 1856 on land in Portage-du-Fort donated for the purpose by the Rev. Henry Usborne, was consecrated on 1 August 1858.

In the summer of 1900, at the urging of the Rev. Robert Warrington of Portage-du-Fort and Bryson, John Douglas of the Diocesan College of Montreal was sent as a missionary to the townships of Litchfield (Campbell's Bay) and Mansfield (Fort Coulonge). Within a year services were being regularly conducted in the Orange Hall at Campbell's Bay by the Rev. George Edward Brownlee, supported by visits from the rector of Shawville and his assistant. In 1903, the Rev. James A. Elliott accepted a temporary appointment to Campbell's Bay and began the building of St. George's Church there.

After the resignation of the Rev. William James White from St. George's, Portage-du-Fort, in 1944, that cure ceased to have a resident incumbent and was once more served by the rector of Shawville until 1968 when, together with St. James' Church, Otter Lake, it became part of the Parish of Campbell's Bay. The deanery of Clarendon, of which the Parish of Campbell's Bay is a part, was transferred in 1965 from the Diocese of Montreal to the Diocese of Ottawa.
