Fonds consists of the following microfilmed records: proceedings of the municipal council, 1853-1931, and a minute book of 1893-1915; road inspectors' reports and petitions relating to roads, n.d., 1855-1911, and various documents relating to roads and bridges, 1856-1904; assessment or evaluation and collection rolls for taxes, 1856-1902; minute book of the School Commissioners, 1903-1950, accounts and other records of schools, 1859-1903; and poll books or voters' lists, 1861-1906. This material is located on microfilm reels M-7496 to M-7502.

General note:

Microfilmed from the original records then on deposit at the National Archives of Canada. The records were returned to the municipal authorities in 1991.

Custodial history:

While some of the records were until 1974 in the custody of a former Township Clerk and his daughter, Mrs. H. (Rebbie) Dodds of Ottawa, others had been collected from scattered locations by Dr. and Mrs. Stuart Geggie of Wakefield.
