Porter, Justin Edwin, 1866-1957 : Justin Edwin Porter, born in St. Eleanors, P.E.I., received his early education there. Travelling west, he relocated in Winnipeg and was apprenticed to the law office of Alexander Haggart. During the Riel Rebellion, he joined the 90th Battalion "C" Company. Afterwards, he was a practicing attorney in Manitoba.
