Aikawa, Frank S., born 1866 : Frank S. Aikawa, businessman, emigrated from Japan to San Francisco in 1855. In 1889 he established a fish cannery at Prince Port Simpson, near Rupert, B.C. He spent about 30 years in Canada involved in various fishing and farming activities in which he employed Japanese immigrants, before retiring to his native village, Isezaki City, Gumma Prefecture, Japan.
