Item is a diary recording Coffey's journey from San Juan, California to Dawson City and his work for the Klondike Government Concession Company, 25 April to 26 August 1898. Of particular interest is his description of the trip from Dyea over the Chilkoot Pass to Lake Bennett and down the Yukon River to Dawson City.
