Fonds consists of the original sheet music copy of "The Land of the Maple, Canada's National Song", words and music by H.H. Godfrey, 1897, 2 pages; photocopies of a transcript of a family history written by Godfrey's daughter, Ethel Main, n.d., and of a letter from Godfrey to one of his children, 1895, 5 pages; transcript of Godfrey's obituary, 1908, 2 pages.

Also included are photographs of Henry Herbert Godfrey in Montreal and Toronto; a group photograph with Mason and Risch employees. Photographs by S.J. Dixon, J.F. Mitchell, and McVey.

Godfrey, H. H. (Henry Herbert), 1858-1908 : Born in England, Henry Herbert Godfrey emigrated to Canada at the age of seventeen. He was the composer of a number of patriotic Canadian songs, such as "The Land of the Maple".
