Fonds consists of a scrapbook of newspaper clippings, letters, programs, menus, and other souvenirs relating to the career of Converse in the 6th Battalion Fusiliers in the 1890s; clippings on other subjects of interest to him, including criteria for professional judging of dogs and horses, and birth, marriage, and death announcements relating to friends and relatives; and "Certificate of Honour", 1942, for investing in the second Victory Loan (investor's name not given).

Converse, William Bernard, 1872-1951 : William Bernard Converse, soldier and businessman, was born and educated in Montreal. He was Captain of the 6th Battalion Fusiliers, "F" Company, president of Consumers Cordage Co. Ltd., and later vice-president of Canadian Bag Co. In 1940 he retired to Upper Melbourne, Que., where he operated a model farm for the remainder of his career.
