The fonds consists of a typed transcript of the Truro Township Book (Colchester County, Nova Scotia). It comprises a minute book of town meetings, 1770-1824 (volume 1, pages 1-57); and a register recording births, marriages and deaths, 1761-1851, which includes records of livestock earmarks, 1763-1847, (volume 2, pages 1-92).

The typescripts were initially paginated as 1 to 147. Reorganization of them into two volumes resulted in over-writing of page numbers by hand. Consequently, care should be taken in making citations.
