Collection consists of two commissions appointing Russell Chapman, a major in Halkett's Regiment of Foot in Ireland, and as lieutenant-colonel in the 62nd or Royal American Regiment of Foot, 1 March 1750 and 5 January 1756 (4 pages); a commission appointing Edward Barron an ensign in the 60th Regiment or Royal American, signed by James Wolfe at Point Levis, 4 September 1759 (2 pages); and a commission appointing Thomas Handfield an ensign in the 47th Regiment, signed by James Wolfe at Louisbourg, 23 May 1759 (photocopy, 1 page).
