Collection consists of two copies of the genealogy of the family and descendants of William Clow, covering the years 1754 to 1981, one of which has been corrected and annotated by Mr. Andress; a transcript of the memoirs of James Begg Sr., 1887.

Clow (family) : William Clow (1754-1815) was born in Dunblaine, Perthshire, Scotland and later immigrated to North America where he settled in Vermont. During the American Revolution he held the rank of Corporal with the Loyal Rangers. After the Revolution William Clow and his wife, Sophia Strader (1766-1852) settled near Elizabethtown, Upper Canada.
