Collection consists of correspondence between Charles Lawrence and the Earl of Halifax, 1755-1759, a complaint by John Collier, 1756, and instructions from free-holders of Halifax to Mr. Paris, 1757, correspondence, petitions, memorials, journals and accounts relating to Nova Scotia written to and from inhabitants of Halifax, Benjamin Gerrish, Major Roger Morris, Alex. Davison, Phil Deane, George Chalmers, Thomas Barclay, Samuel Peters, W. Hamilton, Henry Goulburn and Thomas Gage, 1757-1817.
