Item is a manuscript of an anonymous Englishman who immigrated to Manitoba in 1891 with the intention of learning to farm. The manuscript is entitled "My four year experience in the North West of America" and the author notes that it was written "for the purpose of letting any who are thinking of immigrating to America know what they may have to go through".
