This is an American bootleg disc of a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio drama.~Drama about an investigator, played by John Drainie and modelled on Joseph McCarthy, who wakes up in a fog after an airplane crash and learns that there were "no survivors". He finds himself at the gates of "up here" and seeks entry, but first he must be investigated by a board consisting of Titus Cates (chairman), the Spanish Inquisition, Cotton Mather and "the hanging judge". The Investigator charges that thechairman is unfit to investigate so he makes himself the chairman and begins his own investigation of persons wrongly given permission for permanent entry, such as Socrates, Karl Marx, Thomas Jefferson and John Milton. He deports them from "up here" to "down there". Finally, he attempts to investigatethe chief himself, but at this point goes mad. An attempt to deport the Investigator fails because he is refused entry into "down there" and therefore he must be sent back to the place from which he came - life. On Earth once more, the Investigator has miraculously survived. <1h>
