Fonds consists of "Account of all the Merchandise & Debits & other Property belonging to the Copartnership of Taylor & Duffin, Niagara, 27th May 1779", 47 pages, with an incomplete letter from William Taylor to William Duffin summarizing the situation and the terms upon which the partnership was to be dissolved, 4 pages. Their business included acting as agents for the government in providing supplies to the Indian Department staff and dependents.

Duffin, William, d. 1801 : William Duffin spent some years at Niagara as a merchant, in partnership with William Taylor. On his return to Ireland, he was named Deputy Governor of County Antrim, in 1794.
