Collection consists of two invoices of fur consignments, 1797, with a list of letters of William Grant of Tammore in the British Museum, [1936], transcripts, 7 pages; and the will of William Grant, 1805, transcript, 2 pages. Material in the collection was copied in 1948.

Grant, William, 1744-1805 : William Grant was Deputy Receiver General of Quebec, 1777-1784; a member of the Legislative Council 1778-1791, and of the Legislative Assembly 1792-1805. As a merchant from London, he came to Quebec in 1763, and acquired the seigniory of St-Roch.
