Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada : The Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada (U.W.A.C.) Soyuz Ukrayinok Kanady is a Canada-wide cultural, educational and fraternal organization of Ukrainian women, which is affiliated with the Ukrainian Self-Reliance League of Canada (Soyuz Ukrayinskikh Samostiynykiv v Kanadi). The U.W.A.C. has its origins in the Mohylianky Society, which was founded at Mohyla Institute in Saskatoon in 1923. The U.W.A.C. was organized as a separate organization in 1926 and played an important role in establishing the Ukrainian Self-Reliance League a year later.
