Fonds also consists of photographs relating to the activities of Kerry and Chace Limited.Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:Kerry and Chace Limited, 1887-1938 : A firm of consulting engineers which was originally organized in 1907 as Smith, Kerry and Chace and incorporated in 1913. Their head office was in Toronto and they were active in the fields of railway, hydraulic, electrical and industrial engineering. They also undertook construction projects including municipal services, mines, paper mills, etc. The most prominent member of the earlier partnership and president of the succeeding company was John George Gale Kerry, a consulting engineer born in Montreal in 1867, and who had been assistant professor of Applied Science at McGill University from 1893 to 1907.Subject heading:- Railroads - Construction
