Lauder, William, ca. 1793-1845 : William Lauder worked as a masonry contractor in Montreal and environs. He constructed part of McGill College, worked on the Chambly Canal, sewers and harbour works for Montreal, as well as private residences and commercial buildings in the City. He worked in partnership with John Whitelaw and William Tenant (or Tennant) on the Chambly Canal, under the name of Lauder, Whitelaw & Tenant.
