Description:

The Canadian government ship, Arctic, visits Godhavn, Greenland during the Canadian Government Expedition of 1924. Captain Joseph Bernier and RCMP officers are greeted by Greenland's Governor, Philip Rosendahl. Harald Lindow, inspector of North Greenland, speaks with RCMP Inspector Wilcox. Footage includes shots of interested Greenlanders, including Inuit in traditional sealskin pants and boots; church; close-up of Inuk woman's attire including beading and embroidered boots; close-up of Inuk woman's hair; Inuuk women smoking; a young Inuk woman with a baby in the hood of her amoutik parka, and another woman pushing a pram; dancing with accordion accompaniment; flora, including the broad leaved willow herb and cotton grass; and Inuit in kayaks near the Arctic. <5mn 47s>
