Fonds consists of twelve letters written by Dinah Bishop and her children or their spouses to her son, Richard Hemsley and other family members in England 1844-1900. The letters describe the Hemsley family's life, chiefly in Belleville, Canada West, after their emigration from England. A partial family genealogy and a typescript copy of the letters is found with the collection. Photocopy, 48 pages.
