Parker, Robert, d. 1865 : Robert Parker, lawyer, politician and judge, was born in Saint John, New Brunswick 26 June, 1796. In 1817, Parker was admitted as an attorney and was called to the bar in 1820. Parker's rise to prominence was assisted by his marriage to Susan Robinson in 1820. That same year, Parker became director and the solicitor of the Bank of New Brunswick.

In 1824, his political career began by receiving the post of recorder of the city of Saint John. In 1826, he became part of the assembly, and by 1828, he had been the temporary attorney-general, solicitor-general and judge commissary of the Court of Vice-Admiralty. He resigned as solicitor-general and did not run for reelection to the assembly in 1830, but practised law with his brother Neville from 1826 to 1834. He was promoted to puisne judge in 1834, and finally in 1865 became chief justice. His appointment was short-lived for he died a few months later, 24 November, 1865 in Saint John, New Brunswick.
