British Immigration and Colonization Association of Canada : The British Immigration and Colonization Association of Canada was incorporated in 1921 as The British Immigration Aid Association and altered its name in December 1923. The purpose of the Association was to sponsor and encourage emigration from the British Isles to Canada, particularly of young men and boys, and to aid these immigrants to establish themselves. The depression of the 1930's slowed down the Association's activities, and with the advent of the World War II, its affairs were wound up. The final meeting was held 26 June 1941.

Custodial history:

The records of the Association had been turned over to the Immigration Branch, Department of Mines and Resources, with which it had been closely associated. They were received by the National Archives in 1964 from the Department of Citizenship and Immigration.
