The fonds also contains a 1937 photograph depicting participants in the annual convention of the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Niagara Falls, Ont. Also included is a zinc plate for the last-mentioned photograph, and a rate card.Additional name(s):Biography/Administrative history:Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs : The Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women (CFBPW) was formally established in July 1930 when representatives of clubs from five cities met in Winnipeg. Although local clubs to promote the interests of business and professional women had been in existence for a number of years, it was not until 1929 that serious discussions about federation took place. The CFBPW promotes the interests of business and professional women by encouraging a spirit of co-operation among them and extending educational opportunities to them.
